Common Problems¶

ThinkUp is a work in progress. Certain known problems can occur on different server setups have known solutions.

  • Didn’t receive an account activation email
  • My administrator account is deactivated
  • “SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK”
  • PDOException: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 2006 MySQL server has gone away
  • Premature end of script headers
  • Internal Server Error, or blank page when loading ThinkUp
  • Crawler encounters Twitter API errors (ERROR 502)
  • “Fatal error: Allowed memory size of XXXX bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16 bytes)”
  • Something’s going wrong during crawls, but the log on the “Capture Data” page doesn’t give enough information
  • “Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded”
  • Exporting posts outputs gibberish
  • Repeated errors: “Warning: require_once(): Unable to allocate memory for pool.”
  • Can’t change my account’s email address
  • Cannot back up or export data
  • My database is so big, every migration takes forever or doesn’t complete
  • Failed to write session data (files)

  • Capture the output of ThinkUp’s verbose crawler log
